DPDPIndexBot

You found us in your logs

DPDPIndexBot loads a single page from your site to check signals that are observable from outside — whether tracking runs before consent, whether a privacy notice is reachable, whether a data-protection contact is published. The results feed the DPDP Readiness Index.

What it does

  • • One page — your home page. It does not spider your site.
  • • Roughly once a week per site.
  • • It reads. It never submits a form, creates an account, or logs in.
  • • It reads robots.txt before every visit, not once. Adding a rule today takes effect on the next pass.
  • • If your robots.txt is unreachable or unreadable, we treat that as a no and skip you.

How to stop it

Either works, and both are honoured.

Disallow: /

Or email support@askmeidentity.com and we will remove your site from the index. You do not need to explain why, and we will not follow up.

What we do not do

We do not collect personal data from your site, and we do not email anyone based on what we find. If you want the detailed findings for a site you control, you run the check yourself at /assess.
